Φriend Project

Specifically, HELLASCHOOL brings together (under the guidance of teachers) students of the Diaspora with students from Greek schools (primary schools or language schools) under the guidance of a corresponding teacher. Thus, our students from, for example, the United States or the United Kingdom, come into contact and get to know their counterparts from Greece who are taught English as a foreign language. The children no longer send their assignments only to their teacher but have a parallel recipient in their friend. Students practice communicating, corresponding, playing games, etc., with each other in the language they are learning (Greek for expatriate students, English, German, French, etc. for children from Greek schools). The teacher on both sides assigns, coordinates, guides, encourages, facilitates the process of communication.

HELLASCHOOL, through the Φriend Project, aims to enhance language acquisition for Greek children inside and outside the country. At the same time, through its overall effort for the teaching of our mother tongue, it aims to broaden and strengthen the connection of the children of the Diaspora with the motherland, on an individual and collective level.
